Chemotherapy

In contrast to surgery and Radiotherapy, chemotherapy is considered a systemic form of treatment in cancer. It can be given in oral (That is in the form of tablets) form as well as injectable forms, both of which are practiced here in our hospital.

Chemotherapy may be given after definitive surgery (Called Adjuvant Therapy) or before definitive surgery (Called Neoadjuvant Therapy). It is also given concurrently with Radiotherapy, or before or after it, referred to as sequential Chemo radiotherapy.

Also, Chemotherapy can be given as the predominant form of treatment which can be curative in certain cancers.

To conclude, chemotherapy is an important treatment modality and it is regularly practiced in our hospital.
